Scribes & Vibes presents The Black Bookstore Tour.

Join us for a celebration of the arts through live music, spoken word, artists talks, author readings, and open mic performances. The June 11, 2022 program focuses on the theme, "Instrumental Voices" in efforts to illustrate the the beauty and breadth of Black poets and music makers.

"Reimagine Your Bookstore."

Bookstore & Chill is a Scribes & Vibes engagement marketing initiative. Our aim is to transcend the bookstore experience and cultivate in-store and online book communities for booksellers.

Bookstore & Chill celebrates the cultural heritage of indie-bookshops through the lens of literary, performing, visual arts. To demonstrate our power in the publishing industry and ensure that Black buying power is utilized to strengthen Black-owned businesses and the communities that they serve, we have made the conscious decision to transform bookstores into safe spaces for community and culture.

Heeding to the aesthetics of book clubs and coffeehouse culture, we aim to inspire a rich literary tradition through the reinvention of the bookstore as a community space. We envision the Bookstore & Chill symbolism as a call to Read, Eat, Drink, and enjoy carefully curated bookstore vibes.
