Read. Paid. Chill. is a Scribes & Vibes engagement marketing initiative. Our aim is to transcend the book club experience and cultivate in-store and online book communities for booksellers.

Bookstore & Chill celebrates the cultural heritage of indie-bookshops through the lens of literary, performing, visual arts. To demonstrate our power in the publishing industry and ensure that Black buying power is utilized to strengthen Black-owned businesses and the communities that they serve, we have made the conscious decision to raise funds for Black bookstores, librarians, and educators and to hold space for community and culture.

Heeding to the aesthetics of book clubs and coffeehouse culture, we aim to inspire a rich literary tradition through the reinvention of the bookstore as a community space. We envision the Bookstore & Chill symbolism as a call to Read, Eat, Drink, and enjoy carefully curated bookstore vibes.
